The mission of the union is to develop communication and cooperation among member municipalities for the sustainable development of the region, to promote solidarity by ensuring the sharing of information and experience, to act in favor of its members in national and international platforms, and to spread a local governance approach that is democratic, participatory, transparent, accountable, centered on citizens' rights, sensitive to social equality and ecology, by developing its capacity and ensuring quality and efficiency in services.
Our vision is to create a union of local governments that, by ensuring the provision of public services locally, supports national development with local development, carries out practices leading to healthy (dignified, ecological) urbanization, improves the status of society and the environment, respects urban rights, protects consumers, strives for social equality, and contributes to democratization.
